Mother's Day Quilts
A few years ago I made a wall quilt from squares that were made at the Susan Komen Run for the Cure held on Mother's Day. If you've ever attempted to make a quilt from donated squares you will appreciate how hard it was to come up with a cohesive design. Some of the squares were made from black fabric which was a challenge. I found an embroidered patch with the phrase "pink is the new black". Viola! Problem solved.
